Citysage, a startup developed by Reliance Foundry, harnesses advanced Lidar technology to monitor environmental changes. While commonly associated with self-driving vehicles, Citysage applies Lidar to innovative use cases like measuring stream flow, assessing garbage levels, and noise reduction. Their goal is to partner with municipalities to improve workflow efficiency and environmental sustainability.

THE BRIEF

Citysage required the creation of a website and application dashboard for their Lidar app, adhering to newly established brand guidelines. A key challenge was showcasing their product—a minimalist black box—in a way that helped customers quickly grasp its purpose and value.

THE APPROACH

To convey the product’s functionality, the Citysage website features a prominent cityscape image on its landing page, overlaid with a green and purple gradient to symbolize the Lidar lasers monitoring the environment. The landing page also incorporates the app interface to provide users with a clear understanding of its capabilities. Using the brand’s fonts and color palette, I designed a clean, minimalist site and app interface that is visually engaging, user-friendly, and easy to navigate.
